More Art, Less Words

  • Live True Counseling 333 SW Taylor street, St. #200 Portland, OR, 97204 (map)

Do you identify as neurodivergent, or someone who struggles with verbal forms of expression? This weekly art therapy group utilizes art-making as a form of non-verbal creative processing for varying experiences and needs. Each week we will explore a different means of using art-making to access self-understanding, communicate with others, and process experiences. Reflective discussions closing each group will be open for participants to engage in at their comfort. This semi-open/semi-closed group is specifically for those who identify as neurodivergent and struggle with culturally-standard verbal forms of communication and expression.

Group Details

This is a semi-closed group that meets weekly on Thursday afternoons from 4:30-6pm. While participants are not required to attend all sessions, they are encouraged to attend as many as possible. Sign up for each week’s session will be closed 24 hours prior to the session.

Accessibility

Our building is ADA accessible. Specific accommodations can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. We encourage anyone with accessibility concerns to make a note on their sign up form. This group is meant to be accessible for all.

Cost

$15-30 sliding scale, per session. We encourage those financially able to pay the higher end of this scale to do so, as this allows us to offer discounted spots to those with financial need.
