EcoCreativity

Do you identify as a creative person and nature lover? This eco-art therapy group explores the relationship between creative expression and our connection to the more-than-human world. From discussing and learning how to use natural materials for art-making to creating art inspired by or about nature, we will co-create a nature-based creative experience to address eco-related concerns such as cultivating reciprocity with the more-than-human world, coping with eco-anxiety & eco-grief, and how to build a more sustainable creative practice in harmony with nature.

Group details

This group meets once per month on Saturday morning from 9:30-11:30am. Participants are welcomed to sign up for one, a few, or all groups. While themes may build upon each other throughout the sessions, this is not a sequential program. Maximum of 10 participants for each session.

Accessibility

Accessibility of this group may vary based on location. Some sessions will be held on hiking trails that may have uneven terrain. Activities may include light to moderate walking and movements such as bending and squatting. Accessibility concerns may be addressed on a case-by-case basis, and participants are encouraged to note potential accessibility concerns on their sign-up form.

Cost

Sliding scale of $30-60 per session. For those able to pay the higher end of this scale, these funds will allow us to offer discounted spots to participants with financial barriers.

Location

Locations for EcoCreativity will be determined the week leading up to the session to account for weather conditions. On days where we will not meet outdoors, we will meet at Live True Counseling.
